The End is Near…

The season is coming to a close and I’m finding it hard to come up with some inspiration on what to write. The parents are tired, the coaches are tired, we’re all filled with field grime and I’m taking the lazy way out and doing a picture blog from this weekends games.

Friday, the team came with their bats ready. We won by a run rule at this game. It is a tradition in our city to go to Dairy Queen after a win. Usually this is great and everyone is in for the celebration. But I think the parents are starting to feel the extra poundage and begged the coach for a change of pace. Pizza anyone?

Saturday’s game we were dodging rain and storms. The team literally got one inning in before lightning lit up the sky which meant a half hour delay. Another lightning strike…now an hour delay. Finally the game was called.

Sunday’s game we got to see Carter pitch. The team lost 9 to 5 but it was a great effort and of course a proud parent moment as Carter pitched great.

And finally…

Some great support from an old friend who we haven’t seen in a long time! Thanks to Will and his Mom for coming to the game and helping to cheer the team on!

Oh, by the way tomorrow is Monday…Wonderful! Have a great week!
